Day 28- At Sea-still in the Atlantic Ocean!
Not a lot happening today – it was cloudy and overcast so we mainly read books and had a couple of cocktails with a nice dinner in the my fair lady restaurant. We went down to boleros, lounge and watch a little bit of King Charles coronation – love all the military ceremony, uniforms and fanfare.

We had another clock shift moving one hour forward tonight so we are getting less sleep quite a few often now as we head towards Europe! Not a chore really though and we are now setting an alarm so we get up at a decent hour.
Day 29 - 8th day at sea
Sun! Oh how happy everyone is to see it. One lady was telling me today that she was actually getting depressed but not seen the sun for 7 days. There is no wind and the sea is as calm as we have seen it on this cruise by far – no rocking around, and all the recliner chairs were put out by the staff – there are so many, it is not hard to get one up on the top floor. Around the swimming pools are quite clogged up and people stay there most of the day, but that is fine as there are more than enough to go around elsewhere. We were amazed to see a couple walking a small terrier dog around the walking track??!😳didn’t know that was an option. I was talking to Mohammed, who is our cabin attendant, and he said there is someone on our level with a pitbull?! He said being Muslim he would not be able to clean that room and would have to swap with someone as Muslims don’t touch dogs apparently. I am very surprised they are allowed to take them, especially as we are going to other countries and …..where do they go to the toilet???
We were reading again for a lot of the day, I am reading a great Maeve Binchy book called nights of rain and stars set in Greece, so we went up after to lay out and have a cocktail – $51 for two! We went onto the very top back deck at about 4 pm – don’t know where the day had gone, but it meant that the sun wasn’t too strong and we were very good about sunscreen. This is our last sea day before arriving in Funchal Madeira tomorrow where we have an organised Royal Caribbean tour to see the city, cable car ride and the toboggan which is quite famous. I thought we better do it since my cousin in the UK Jon did it!
Meanwhile, back in Robertson at home, it has snowed and really snowed! Apparently it is -4° tonight, and everyone was sending photos – how can we be missing this the first time in so many years that it has snowed like this!

Snow it certainly did here in Robbo. We got a good share of it on your property and it hung around for well over 12 hours before the last melted away. Very cold here still with a strong icy wind
So exciting…how could we miss a once in 20 yr event?!
